You're right, sounds fishy to me.

First of all, I believe that there are probably plenty of people available in St. Louis to do the therapy he may need. Why does he need to go to another state for it?

Second, if she's not a physical therapist she shouldn't try it on strangers. It's one thing to try stuff out on her friends but what if she inadvertantly does some harm to the man? He could sue her big and get her in criminal trouble.

Third, if he's on the up-and-up, why would he hang up on her when she said she wanted to do a records check.

I wouldn't even bother with the records check. Several red flags are waving on this one so I recommend you tell her to just say no. The life you save might be hers (or your own)!

Hey, I'm with you. Sounds a little twisted to me. Are there no physical therapists where he lives? And your friend is not quailified to do therapy. Sounds like she could be in for a law suit at best. At worst, well...I don't think I have to tell you what the worst case could be, do I?

Not all senior citizens are nice. People who are perverted when they're young generally stay perverted when they're old. Just because he's 65 doesn't mean he couldn't hurt her.

It sounds as if she is being conned. I would do a background check on him as soon as possible. I think you are right on the money.
