Corioliss
I`ve used alot of different straightening irons through the years, but this is definetly the best one I`ve tried.
My mom is a hairdresser and got it for me at a big Hair thingy in London last fall.

The GHD is the best by FAR! It has smooth ceramic plates that gilde through your hair. It gets very hot so you do not need to keep it on the hair long, which means, less damaging! Also, it is the ONLY flat iron that has a temperature control that makes sure that the iron stays at the same temperature and that there isn't any cool spots or hot spots. Also, you can curl your hair with it to!
Trust me, the GHD iron is the best. By the way, GHD stands for Good Hair Day. ;-P

the best would be chi or torlen. they make the best ceramic straighteners that all professionals use. they have a heat of 420f which is the highest on the market. due to the high heat, it straightens hair faster and smoother. because of this, it keeps hair healthier than the ones you buy in drugstores.
a new one on the market is a straightener that straightens hair from wet to dry thus reducing the need to blowdry. i have yet to try it but have been told it is very good. most hairstylist still use either chi or torlen.

I would go for an Iron that has Ionization. If you can't find one of those, try Hot & Gold products.
