whos the artist that painted them pictures of squares? all of the squares was different colors n' shapes n' stuff n' the lines fer the squares was a thick black line...i aint got a pic of any of the paintin's but i would like to kno who painted em if any of yall kno thanx

You are thinking of Piet Mondrian, Molly, a Swiss painter who moved to New York before the 2nd World War and was inspired by the geometric layout of the city. The squares represent the city blocks and the colors represent the hustle and bustle of the vibrant pre-war New York City. See this site for more info...

Sounds like Piet Mondrian to me. He was a dutch painter and was an extremely important figure in the Di Stijl movement. He died in 1944.
