Depends on what state you live in. I lived in OK before and I got my DL on the same day. But now I live in CA and you have to wait up to 6 weeks to receive your license.

Take your birth certificate down to the social security administration building, they will apply for a new social security card (receiving your card can take over two weeks) but explain your dilemma to them, they will give you proof that you have applied for a replacement ss card. Take the letter from the social security office along with your original birth certificate to DMV, get a duplicate license (I would also take a utility bill with my name and address on it as an additional document as they may require it. No time to dilly dally. Time is not on your side.

Depends on your state, darling. Some states have your photo on retrieve and will take your birth certificate plus additional data like W-2's, vehicle registration, etc., to show you are who you are along with your retrieved photo and you'll be able to have a duplicate made immediately. Just call your DMV or go there and see.

If you go onto the states DMV website it will give you a list of what is acceptable proof of identification. Since you don't have a picture ID then you may have to bring in a number of things to prove your identity. Just look at their website.

you will probably need your driver's license or some other photo identification to get on the plane. Go to the dmv and tell them you lost your license and they will give you a duplicate (you will have to pay for it) It should not take long. You can also do it over the internet but It might take longer

Get off the computer, and put your butt in gear to the nearest local DMV office. they're all over the yellow pages. You can get the licence on the same day for a fee... but you NEED to go there in person!

You can go to SSI and show them your birth certificate and any type of other paperwork with you name and address on it, adn they will order you a new one and give you a print out showing what your social is and you can take that to DMV.
