JUST so you'll have something to talk about at parties?

Em, no. If that's really your only motivation, I think it would be more cost effective and less painful to just make up a really cool story that's easy to segue...

A tattoo is something that is personal to you. If you want that tatto then get it but make that you know the tattoo will be there for the rest of your life. A scar of a operation on your chest. what ever floats your boat.

Why would you need a tattoo of a scar? You would have to take Your shirt off all the time. You might as well get a question mark tattooed there instead.

It's really all up to you. I am getting my chesy tattooed to look like an autopsy. I know it sounds sick and demented. But on my upper chest I have the Latin words "Veritas Mortem" which means: Truth in Death. So it kinda goes along with what I am getting.

if you're deprived for attention then get a fake scar. OR you could get a phenomenal tattoo that will blow people away when they see how wonderful it is and you'll have a great conversation piece. but whatever floats your boat i guess.

If you want it so you can have something to talk about that's pretty lame and stupid.

You should get a tattoo because you like it and because it has meaning, not because its a bragging right.

I might seem naive but is there any complications or risks with getting tattoos over scar tissue?

If you are tatted up already, why not. It'd be cool untill is fades and no one can tell what it is when you get old.
