however she says she has trouble seeing within two months of getting new glasses. The school eye tests support what she says. This has happened during both of the two years that she has worn glasses. The doctors (two different ones) say her eyes are healthy. Whats going on?? Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes - my daughter had the same problem when she first started wearing glasses. I guess it's fairly common for your sight to rapidly deteriorate when you first start wearing corrective glasses, but the changes seems to mellow out after a while and eventually the eyes "settle down" and change less rapidly. You might want to shop around to various optical centers - some offer free replacement lenses (not new frames) if your child's prescription changes within a year of purchasing new glasses, and that, at least, makes it a little easier on the wallet.

First off, how old is your daughter? That might make a difference. Are you getting her glasses prescription from the same people, and is it possible she got the wrong prescription? Long shot, but still something to be concerned about, especially with all these eye centers popping up all over the place, you have to wonder if half of them know what their doing. If that's not the case, is your daughter doing something where her eyes could be continually being damaged. Sitting too close to the TV, reading in the dark, etc. If not than has she been checked for diabetes. A common sign for diabetes is with loss of vision. It's a simple blood test to find out. That's what I would do. Good luck.

Well a child's eyes do change while growing but in my experience its yearly not monthly id advise having the doctor check the prescription that was put in the glasses< there have been times when the wrong prescription has been put in>

It could just be that her eyes will change rapidly for awhile, and it should slow down as she ages. I seem to remember my vision changing a lot as a kid (I've worn glasses since 3rd or 4th grade.)

However, if you are concerned, I would have her see a specialist, and that might ease your worries, or let you know if something is really wrong.
