The general rule of thumb is not to have any vaccinations when you are ill in any way. When you go to get the vaccine, make sure to tell your doctor or nurse giving it that you have a cold, they can determine if it is still safe for you to take it. If its a matter or go or don't go cuz of the cold, I would say get yourself well first.. just call and reschedual (let them know why) and it shouldn't be a problem.

My childrens doctor always gave vaccinations unless my child had a fever, or was seen for a infection of some sort within a week prior to needing it.
