Since I turned 16 (now 17) I have had many pointless encounters with police accusing me of random things I didn't do. Why do they do this? I am a good kid and they keep trying to make me a bad one. I honestly think they want me to be the person they keep trying to make me sound like. I don't do bad things. They just think I do because I was arrested with alcohol and I am under age.

Guess what, an underaged person can drink responsibly. Are you saying when the drinking age was 18 that all those 18 year olds were bad people?

um... no... they have been pointless. They randomly show up at my house somtimes when I have been home all day and say I was at a certain place doing things. Once they came to my house and said to my parents "Excuse me but do you know where your son is right now? We just got busted a party with underage drinking and he was there." this was pretty funny seeing as though I was at home sleeping.

Plus almost every single one of you missed the point. This wasn't supposed to be about me, just teenagers in general.

Teenagers today are mindless. They don't think for themselves and rely on peer pressure. If it were up to me, 18 would be the minimum age to drive, and insurance would be $500 a month. ( For teenagers only ). Better have a rich mommy and daddy.

From a law enforcement point of view....
Because you did something wrong before, you become "suspect" when another event occurrs. This doesn't mean the police are "trying to make you a bad person" but that they are starting at a known point seeking the facts of an event that is UNknown!
How you present yourself to others...how you dress...where you hang out...are just a few ways others "judge" you.
The old saying "One shouldn't judge a book by it's cover" may be a true way of thinking, however, it's just not the way things are done!
First impressions make a HUGE difference in this world which has become very competitive.
Responses such as yours above:
"Additional Details

what the f*ck are you morons talking about." ... shows immaturity or a lack of patience!
My suggestion is that if approached in the future...be polite...be mature...and respond to any question without being sarcastic or demeaning to the officers!
Best wishes!

First of all, judging by your post, NONE of your encounters with the police have been "pointless". If the cops are harrassing you, there's a reason. The fact that you were arrested for underage alcohol possession put you on the rocky path you're on to begin with.
And, you may be right when you say you're not a "bad" kid, but you are certainly guilty of making "bad" decisions. Welcome to the adult world, where your past actions can catch up with you in a big way.

Hang around in the wrong place, with the wrong people and/or at the wrong time what are the cops supposed to think? At your age you are quite capable of doing drugs or committing other crimes to the level of an adult. The police need respect from you just as you need respect from them. I believe you or someone you hang out with do not show respect to the police and so they have no choice to do what they do. Keep being good and be careful what impression you give others, especially adults, and you'll be okay.

With alcohol? Then you deserve to be harrassed. You have a problem.
The only time I received any tickets were when I was 16 (2 weeks apart by the same cop) and he was very good at making me think about how I drive.. Needless to say I havent had a ticket since so he made an impression on me. I am terrified to be pulled over. If you got caught with alcohol, you were asking for it and I am surprised you didnt get in more trouble.

You demonstrated that you are irresponsible by having alcohol when you are underage. They will keep an eye on you until you stop making a spectacle of yourself. Once you have shown someone that you can't be trusted....this is how you pay the price. Just keep yourself on the straight and narrow and they will forget about you soon enough.

It usually comes down to your attitude when you have these encounters. Bad attitude means more encounters, simple as that.
Your attitude in the additional comments section proves my point. You go from asking a pretty good question to attitude with little provocation. Take a moment, take a deep breath, and show a little respect. They mess with you because they can. Remain calm and they will find someone else to mess with...........

You sleep with dogs, you get fleas. Every person I know that is having problems with the police for the most part is doing something he/she isn't suppose to be doing. Either you change whatever you AREN'T doing, or it's gonna end up bad for ya'...

Well, being under age and arrested with alcohol doesn't tell them that you are a good kid. One reason they might single you out is because of your appearance, which you did not describe, but to them you may not appear to be the good kid you describe, even if you are.
