I've never heard of a place that doesn't do tattoos on the foot. My sister works at a shop and she has roughly 15 tattoos. All of them very beautiful, and two of the are on her foot. The foot is a bit more painful than say your back, but I think your chest would be much more bothersome. Also, and this is a personal opinion, chest tattoos are not becoming and would be the most regretted later on in life as opposed to your foot or behind your ear. I have 4 tattoos on my back, one on my side and one on my hand (most regretted). My sis has on that starts on the top to the side of her foot and scrolls up her ankle. Whatever you do, pain is not all that much of a factor because the degrees do not vary that much on the different parts of your body. Good Luck and I Hope you get the tattoo YOU want! Also me and my sis agree bone is actually less painfull than fat or muscle, your skin tends to drag more when not on bone. Your experience will be unique so you won't know until you do it, but chances of you passing out or even crying are slim to none.

Top of foot will be hard to heal because the blood rushes to the surface when pressure is put on the foot. The chest (fleshy breast area) will not hurt as much as it would if it were put on the clavicle or the breast bone (center). Behind the ear will be bothersome (a great deal of nerves run down your neck) You may think the artist is tattooing another part of your body because of how the pain moves.

I just got a tattoo done on the top of my foot. It hurt like hell! It still hurts to stand on that foot and putting on shoes/socks is not gonna happen for a while.
I don't have tattoos in the other locations, I don't have the courage to get a chest piece though I would LOVE to have one, I get doubts about it. My guess is that its gonna be one of the worst and most painful places to get a tattoo.

I have a large dragonfly tattoo on the top of my foot and it was sooo painful. Most tattoo shops won't do free touch-ups on foot or hand tattoos because the ink tends to pull out more in those areas, so keep that in mind too. You don't want to have to keep going back to get a tattoo touched up that is very painful to begin with.

im not a girl but those are all three painful places. of course the chest would be the most time consuming & costly route. the foot might hurt the worst, but it would compensate because it'd be for a short amount of time....as opposed to your chest.

I have 6 tats. The one I have on the top of my foot was really painful...mainly because you have to flex your foot alot when you walk, so it stretches. I personally think its less painful to get them where you don't have bones. The one I have that hurt the least is on my thigh.

I think tattoos are ok, I have one above my ankle. But I would reconsider getting one on my chest. As far as pain, I have a low pain tolorence and it hurt AAAA LOOOOTTTTTTT. But some people can handle it better.

Most tatoo places i know will not do a tat on the foot, due to the wearing of shoes and things like that. i had got an armband tat all the way around, the underside hurt like hell. i couldnt imagine behind the ear, ouch. what ever you get make it mean something, because if you want to go through pain it better be fora good cause.
