osteoporosis causes bones to become weak and brittle. This can result in fractures that happen easily or for no reason, and can cause a curvature in the spine. Risk factors for Osteoporosis is age, genetics, being female, lack of exercise, lack of calcium or vit D, excessive alcohol, and smoking. You can pevent it by getting enough calcium and vitamin D in your diet, do weight bearing exercises regularly, get a bone density test, limit alcohol & ciggs, and take multi-vitamins.

Right now, make sure you have enough nutrition - calcium, Vitamin A,B,C etc...
And keep active - make sure that your back is strong and so is the rest of you.
For the most part, many people that have effects from a bent back is because they didn't have the nutritional knowledge that we know now when they were young.

The way I understand it is the hump is caused by tiny fractures in your spine. Eat well, exercise and get enough calcium.

bad posture, weak psoas.
to prevent this practice alexander technique and feldenkrais.
also ballet and modern dance.
pilates and yoga.
walking, exercising, moving on your feet.
most americans are sedentary, sit too much and it leads to
weakness and problems in the ilip psoas.
that is what you have to learn to use to improve your posture.
i've been working on it for over 6 years. still improving.
