See my blog on 360 and cast your vote for the answer you think is right. Is it a function of mans ego? Is it the devil? Is there no such thing as evil, just different sides of the same coin? Is it created by man? Or does it have nothing to do with mankind, it evil spirits or entities.

Moral evil results from humankind's free choice to sin.

Sin is a deliberate thought, word, deed, or omission contrary to the eternal law of God.

The seven Deadly Sins are:
- Lust (inappropriate desire)
- Gluttony (over-indulgence)
- Greed (avarice)
- Sloth (laziness)
- Wrath (anger)
- Envy (jealousy)
- Pride (vanity)

The opposing seven Holy Virtues are:
+ Chastity (purity)
+ Moderation (self-restraint)
+ Generosity (vigilance)
+ Zeal (enthusiasm)
+ Meekness (composure)
+ Charity (giving)
+ Humility (humbleness)

With love in Christ.

EVIL

That which results in pain, sorrow, or distress. In order to convey the correct thought in English, the very comprehensive Hebrew word ra` is variously translated as “bad,” “gloomy,” “ugly,” “evil,” “calamitous,” “malignant,” “ungenerous,” and “envious,” depending upon the context. (Ge 2:9; 40:7; 41:3; Ex 33:4; De 6:22; 28:35; Pr 23:6; 28:22) The Greek word ka·kos´ may be defined as that which is (1) morally evil and (2) destructive; among the ways it has been translated are: “bad,” “evil,” “hurtful,” “injurious,” “wrong.” (Ro 7:19; 12:17; Col 3:5; Tit 1:12; Heb 5:14) The Hebrew verb qa·lal´ means “call down evil upon.”

As first used in the Scriptures, the word ra` is the very antithesis of good. Adam was commanded not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and bad (ra`) and was also warned of the consequences for disobedience. Hence, it is evident that God sets the standard as to what is good and what is bad; it is not within man’s prerogative to do so apart from God. Although Adam transgressed God’s express law, this transgression is not chargeable to Jehovah, “for with evil things [form of ka·kos´] God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone. But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire.”—Jas 1:13, 14; Ge 2:16, 17; 3:17-19.

The signpost is whilst somebody hurts you without an comprehensible objective, without stable reason - in an attempt to assert. Characters in a special. For years after Roberts have been punished for his crimes, historians asked the enormous question: “What stimulated Roberts to do evil deeds?” at some point a youthful historian visited Roberts at his cage in the zoo, and asked him, “What stimulated you to kill those harmless young women?” An elderly guy sweeping the sidewalks surpassed by using the cage and heard the question. He mentioned, “Evil desires no objective, that's its very own objective.” The historian jotted down the word, and then caught-up with the guy and asked him, “the place did you hear that? Which professor advised you that suggestion?” He only nodded his head sideways and walked removed from the greater youthful historian. *** The previous guy finished his daily artwork and went homestead. on the wall of his small cubicle-length house hung a citation torn from a printout of a information tale. “there is not any such ingredient as new evil,” mentioned the self-professed emperor. “Evil is older than our universe. the enormous bang got here no longer from cohesion, yet from evil that existed in the ancestors of people who created the test we call human existence. It now strikes freely on land and sea, or maybe in the air we breathe.”

Evil is a function of our own sins. We choose to do evil because we are man and ,within ourselves, have evil. The devil plays a part, but he plays no part in the actual choosing process. And yes evil does exist. If evil and badness did not exist then why deep down when you do something wrong does your conscious eat away at you?

i think evil only exists in what is wrong to the precise individual, meaning reality only exists through thought and consciosness and that my world only exists to me so the only evil i can know is what i percieve to be evil, for it is true that one is ones own god so one is also ones own devil or did that bake your noodle to much?
