I just graduated from college. My college job, I checked off as a dependent. My current job, I put in as an independent. I am confused as how to file my taxes.

For tax filing, you either are or aren't a dependent, and it's for the whole year, not half and half. If you worked enough to provide over half of your support for the year, then you can't be claimed as a dependent. Otherwise it's possible that yur parents can still claim you. Talk to them to be sure you're not both claiming you.

What you had on your W-4 only controls how much tax was taken out for each job, and doesn't affect how you file your return.
