do you believe by praying about that a lot God will show you the path or should we be the one to choose our path to God ?

If you just do your best to move towards God and are open to His will, how you can say you whether are are following a show path or making your own with God's help?
If you just wait for an answer or sign with no effort on your part...you may never get an answer. You need to start the journey towards God and God will help.
Just start the journey and be open to His guidance. Ultimately, every one's path is unique - from we are all different and start from different points on the journey.
At times it may feel like you are choosing your own path and other times you may feel a lot of guidance...it comes and goes, the trick is to do your best to keep moving towards God regardless.
