How do we reduce the number of people who spit on the roads? Do you have any suggestion? I am sure most of us feel irritated when we see anyone spit near us or spit in front of us in the midle of the road. It really affects the hygeine besides the pollution we face day in and day out. My thought is why dont we join together and find a solution for this. I assume most of the countries/states face this issue. People who live in countries where this is not happ. provide your valuable thoughts. Thanks.

for those who spit in public,i feel imprisonment is the ideal punishment.they should be put in jail atleast for a week.otherwise we cannot stop this habit.

LOL, this is a joke right? I'm all for the environment but spit isn't the worst thing we gotta worry about when it comes to pollution.
But just in case you really do mind spitting that much, I don't see it that often here (Netherlands), less than when I lived in the US; perhaps it helps that chewing tobacco is almost unheard of here? Only a few very old farmers still use it, not sure where they buy it because the grocery store that has about ten dozen different brands of cigarettes doesn't even have a single brand/flavor of chew... in the US I knew several people who used it & it was available everywhere.
