I just moved to Chester and it is lovely but i am becoming bored since i don't know what kind of things i could do here apart from shopping and going to the cinema.
Thank you in advance!

Great walks around the ancient city walls. Good cycle routes, on the edge of beautiful countryside. And not too hilly for those not so used to cycling.

The cathedral is almost 500 years old, I think, and is on an ancient site of worship.

There's access to some of the ancient Roman fort that the city stands on.

Some lovely pubs, cafes and restaurants.

The zoo is acclaimed, though I don't generally approve of zoos.

Wow, I know why I love the place. Plus the people-blend of midlanders/northerner types - great.

Go to the zoo. It is one of the best in the world and has an incredible breeding and conservation programme. Or if you want to go a bit further afield there is Blue Planet at Ellesmere Port.

There are great walks along the River Dee and a number of large country estates that are open to the public in that area. The best thing to do as you don't say what your interests are and if you have your own transport is to go to www.visitchester.com there are links there to all the major and minor attractions in and around chester.
