Yes, I was homeschooled from first grade to the end of my 10th grade year. I went to private school for the last two years of high school because my parents no longer had time to teach me, and I refused to attend the public school in my area because I absolutely hated the staff I'd met, and I would have stuck out like a sore thumb...
I'm in my freshman year in college now, and I wouldn't ever trade my years as a homeschooler for anything. I don't have to have someone breathing down my neck for me to do something, and that's a plus because in college, nobody *is* monitoring you.

Yes. I'm in my late twenties, and I have a 4.0 GPA in college. When I was homeschooled, I enjoyed it, but now I wish I hadn't been homeschooled because I missed out on all the important social events of a teen, and I can never get that back (prom, plays, etc.), and I wasn't exposed to some academia that would have really helped me out in college. I feel it can inhibit a child both socially and scholastically ... I will not teach my children at home.

I have been. I sent my things into the school and I was motivated, so my mom wasn't able to be very involved. I became more social after. While I got A's and B's in public school, I got straight A's after. And in public school, I would have had 2 years of school left. In homeschooling, I got it done in less than a year.

Yes, currently I am being home schooled. I happen to love it! & it's quite easy & is also very rewarding! Not only do I get to finish school whenever I actually finish, I can start whenever I need to as well! And take some nice breaks in between.

I'm home schooled it's cool. You don't have to worry about all the drama in public school. I'm motivated to do well because I want to get somewhere in life. To be more exact I want to be a musician.

Yes! I was home schooled back in the 80's when homeschooling was not as prevalent as it is today. I really enjoyed it and I'm glad my parents did it.

I'm over thirty and I consider myself homeschooling right now. I learn thing all the time on my own, how to care for horses and their anatomy, how to knit, cooking recipes. My mother would have been a horrible homeschooler, as she was not involved in my life at all.
I learn with my kids

I was homeschooled since the 7th grade. I was able to get my ged 2 weeks after my 16th birthday and start college 3 months after that. It's great!

yup...all my life - so far K-10th grade. I love it! If given a choice, I would have chosen homeschool instead of public....it's hard work, though - both for my mom and for me. But i guess that's part of life...nothing's easy. I'm definatly going to homeschool my kids when I grow up! :)

No, and my mom really would not have been good at it. My dad would have killed us. At some point in our lives my dad tried to teach each one of us kids to play the guitar. Our lessons lasted about 5 minutes. He was the kind of guy that thought since HE could do it anyone could. Since he taught himself to play he could not understand why none of us kids knew what he was talking about.
