----meaning, marijuana is not a poison, you can consume THC to all kinds of levels and it will not be toxic to the body and kill you,

like alcohol will, since alcohol is a toxic poison to your body, you drink too much of it and you can die of alcohol poisoning,

there is no such thing as that with marijuana.

Man has made it illegal.

God is the Creator of all things.. all living things... to include plants. God saw a need for marijuana... but man has taken it and abused it.

Alcohol is the poison of all poison.

Smoking a little mj has no harm in it whatsoever. Smoke a joint, you can still have your motor skills, take two glasses of wine, a can of beer, or a mix drink.. you stumble and fall.. your motor skills are truly impaired.

I've quit drinking but I still smoke weed. This said, I don't agree with you. Nicotine is far more toxic than alcohol yet I've never heard of anyone (although I'm sure there are some cases) who died of nicotine poisoning. Likewise, most alcoholics don't die from alcohol poisoning, they tend to die, like cigarette smokers, from diseases linked to the habit.

To claim that marijuana is harmless is wrong. I personally know plenty of people whose lives have taken a turn for the worse as a direct result of smoking too much green.

You may well be lucky enough to have avoided any such inconvenience but this doesn't mean that everyone reacts in the same way. Some people develop full blown psychosis as a result of smoking marijuana, others go through years of severe depression, others still carry on smoking with no remarkable side effects.

Likewise with drinking. I know plenty of people who drink and don't abuse alcohol. Ever. I also know many people, myself included, who cannot and should not drink alcohol. This doesn't mean it should be illegal, it means that people should be made aware that alcohol isn't the best option for everyone. This doesn't mean that weed is the "alternative to getting off yer heed" either.

As far as I'm aware the church doesn't really condone or condemn weed although they tend only to come across the negative side of marijuana so most people in the church would say it's not such a good thing.

Well, the bible does say that drunkards will have no place in God's Kingdom - so it's not exactly what you are saying. Anyone who overdoes it continually cannot have self-control. If you go to a bar and get drunk, whose to say that it didn't loosen up your morals and you wake up the next morning next to a guy you don't even know or remember? So getting drunk led you to another sin.

Marijuana? Yes, it alters the state of your mind, but it does it to such a degree, that you have little, if none at all, of self-control. Someone who smokes marijuana could go into such a state that -"burning down that house would be cool."
So they light the house on fire and kill the family in it. It led them to another sin - murder.
Do you want someone whose been smoking marijuana to go pick up your kid from school? What about someone whose drunk? People "under the influence" cannot soundly drive!!!
The point is, after one drink, most people can still make the decision to turn someone down, to go home and drive safely. Not so with one joint.
To me the point is self-control. If you don't have it, then how can your body be a temple? How can you worship or love god with your whole heart, mind and body if you don't have complete control over it?

As a Christian, I'm not sure why marijuana is illegal (as a human being, I can understand it). As far as alcohol, people drank wine and such in Biblical times. It actually states in the Bible that DRUNKENNESS is a sin, not drinking (I Peter 4:1-3). So, maybe that's part of why alcohol is not illegal.

I am not sure why any "Christian" would want to legislate morality. Marijuana is illegal because the legislature in their infinite stupidity passed such a law. It is medicinal, and should not be used recreationally, and smoking it is not a real good way to use it. However this is another of the many areas that the government should not be messing in, but they are.

God created marijuana to help heal ailments, lots of the stable issues He made have been grew to become for evil. that's an ecxellent verse so which you would be able to verify : a million Corinthians 6:18-20 (New international version) 18Flee from sexual immorality. All different sins a guy commits are outdoors his physique, yet he who sins sexually sins against his very own physique. 19Do you no longer understand that your physique is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who's in you, whom you have won from God? you're no longer your individual; 20you have been offered at a value. for this reason honor God along with your physique. God loves you and would not want you to break your self by using destroying the physique He made. Worship and serve him and flee from wrongdoing.

That is not a Christian but a government law. Nothing is illegal only to Christians. is illegal to use Marijuana because the US government has it on their list of illegal drugs. Alcohol was once made illegal but the American public decided against it. Alcohol is still illegal in certain places. BB

As a Christian, I don't think Marijuana is Illegal based on the Bible but based on laws of our country, which we are supposed to obey as long as they don't go against God's law.

Since there is nothing promoting Marijuana according to God's law, I don't use it.

I think it would be fine for Cancer victims, as a recreational drug, I think it is more dangerous than you state, I have personally seen the effects of long term use. It is not pretty.

Alcohol can also be abused, and can cause harm as well. Moderation is the key. But it is not prohibited in the Bible or by law.

Peace!

Well first let's start by saying that it doesn't state anywhere in the bible that either are illegal. to much of anything that's when it becomes sin. SO if you want to smoke marijuana just know it's not Christians that are saying it's illegal it's the government. So your fight is not with us it's with them. If you want it bad enough tell them you need it for glaucoma or something(lol) Geesh

Read your other questions and you sure seem fixated on Christians and mind altering drugs. You will get many different answers but it all comes down to the body being a temple.

In your post you are trying to say marijuana is ok, nice try but it's not.
