Government as a kind, (form) of terrorism?
I believe all forms of governments have as a last resort force to make its people conform to an accepted body of laws and Iran is no different in that respect.
Is the Iranian government a terrorist organization?
Well if one looks at domestic actions and controls placed upon its own populace it may be more strict in civil allowances than say most Euro-Centric nations but mainly in only one regard and that is in that Iran as a Theocracratic Democracy demands certain rules in accord with its Religious teachings and the civil laws reflect this.
One could also claim Iran has a Meritocracy along side its theocracy in the make up of bureaucracy, those best qualified in profession advance over those less qualified, but is in no way all powerfull to those who work within as many differing religons of Iran are represented within.
This is beginning to show up more so in its industry and educational endeavors as Iran tries to advance within the sciences to bring its industrial might closer to more modern nations.
Where as in the past many educated Iranian youths had to leave country to find work in their educated fields today this trend is being rapidly reversed and as its people advance economicly gradual changes are taking place in its ruling system.
Iran is probably led by the most pragmatic leadership of any Caspain SEA, Middle Eastern or Central Asian nations.

To make a long story short try and look up comparisons among the young people now growing up in Iran and their asperations for the future and compare them to your own.
You may be surprised at the resemblence.

One thing I do know is that the policy of United States to take over Irans energy and strategic geopolitcal placement has been ongoing for more than 50 years and is today reaching the point of almost open warfare and it is not the Iranians nation or its people who are causing it.

The Iranian government is not a kind of terrorism, but it has been aledged to support terrorism. I remind everyone that these are all allegations and no proof exists. As far as what happened in 1979, again I remind everyone that around 1940-1950 the US overthrew a democratic Iranian government and installed the Shah, who was a dictator that was not nice to the Iranian people, but he hooked us up with oil. It's not wonder they don't like us much.

The political part of the government is elected, I think, so no I wouldn't call it terrorism. Supporting terrorism is what it does. Terrorism is completley unnacceptable for any reason. There is no justification for it, none. Its a kind of insanity. These days it seems like Bush and the military are the only ones willing to stand up against terrorists but that will change. The more terrorists attack the more people will rise against them. History will show us who was right and it won't be terrorists or their liberal excusers

They, the terrorists, could have a foot hold in the Iranian government. Mainly, because their president, and probably along with his cabinet members, was one of the people involved in the US Embassy take over in Tehran, back in 1979... I know... I was there... Possible terrorist state? Could be, just have to wait and see if he has changed his political view... from Radical to Civilized... Hopefully , he has become Anti-Terrorism, pushing to end the violence. That would definitely help secure the region

The Iranian government sponsors many forms of terrorisism. The current president is funnelling money and equipment to the terrorists in many ways, including direct involvement in Iraq trying to alienate the Shiites there from supporting the current government. The government itself can be said to be terroristic in nature since it is trying to gain nuclear weaponry capability without proper credentials to do so. It is trying to get advantage in concessions from other countries to prolong the production process, therefore showing a false sort of appeasement to the world nations.
