Reverend Red Mage, excuse me I am not lazy, I purposely didn't put in the verse because those who were really interested would look it up.
Well I guess you will not be getting the 10 points for judging others.

It speaks clearly of the way today's society is!!!

And at Matthew chapter 14, that's where Jesus' disciples questioned him on signs to know when his presence would be and when the conclusion of this system of things would be. And he stated food shortages, nation will rise against nation, and every other thing you see on the news and read in the papers.

Check out the link in source.

I really hoped this helped!

Hi,
This is a great writing- It describes what you will face as a Christian in the end times; but even more important than that, it gives you some real important information. You see, when Antichrist comes disguised as Jesus, the mass majority will be deceived by him - they will think he is in fact, Jesus Christ, perhaps come to rapture them out. But, if they read their Bible, they would know its the fake. He comes on the 6th trump; the true Christ comes on the 7th. (people can't count anymore).
Anyway, this fake "jesus" will perform miracles in the sight of men, to deceive them, of course. Don't forget: He wants you to believe he is Christ. In this Chapter, it tells you that just as Moses withstood Jannes and Jambres, so shall you withstand this false one. Jannes and Jambres were the two magicians who threw down their staffs and they become snakes, remember? Then Moses threw his staff down, and it turned to a snake, and ate up all the other snakes. It tells you that no matter what supernatural being comes on the scene, you have power over them in the name of Christ - just like Moses.
One other verse in this chapter really stands out: "Ever-learning, and never able to come to the truth". What the heck are they "ever-learning"? Church systems and rules; traditions of man. Everything except the truth of what God says, instead of what some pastor says. Ever learning the ways of the world, ie; how to do your brother before he does you, etc.
In "Timothy", Paul knows he only has a short time to be on earth; he will be joining the Father soon, and so he is teaching Timothy to take over the ministry for Christ.
Theres lots of great knowledge to be had for both the Christian, and the non-christian alike. Those folks with no belief at all would benefit much from it as well.

That scripture is being fulfilled in our eyes every day. Paul is describing our day, the last days prior to the Lord's second coming. Each of those traits that Paul lists are prevalent is today's society. Those that profess to be good have a worldly form of goodness but deny the authority and power of God. The intellectual are constantly learning but never coming to the knowledge of the truth. Thus, the unlearned are tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine, not knowing where to find the truth.
I am here to proclaim that the truth has been revealed, that prophets do live and the power and authority of God is again manifest on the earth. Tune in to General Conference from Salt Lake City on the first Sunday of April to hear what the Prophet has to say in the here and now.

More important what does Our FATHER make of it.

The subject of these 1st 5 vrs. is charges connected
with the apostasy.

vrs.5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power
thereof: from such turn away.

What did Christ say in Matt: 24

in vrs 4 He said Take heed that no man deceive you.

meaning alot of people will claim to be Christ like, but are

not. they are instead of Christ.......anti- in the greek.

and in Rev 2 : 4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against

thee, because thou hast left thy true love.

Go read Hosea 6:6 .............then ask the ? How do I

really get to know and understand my love? Learn

to read with understanding.

There are only 2 churches Christ was pleased with.

Why ? They taught the true Word of GOD !

and do not deny the the power there of.

They know the parable of the fig tree. Christ said learn it.

They know anti-christ comes 1st claiming to be Chrsit.

That is the 1st seal. Seal in GOD"S truth.

so now you have a choice, you can take this as truth and

go learn more. or stay dumb ? your choice ! it your ship.

www. Shepherdschapel.com

teaches what the 2 churches Christ was pleased with Rev 3:8

they teach who the knites our, the sons of Cain,

there is also a bk called the Hidden dangers of the Rainbow

that helps with this subject.

I looked up the verse before answering because, how do we know unless truly seek. Not only does this talk about today but even here on this list...wow....but if you go on through verse 17 it talks about how we are equipped to do good work and how the Lord has rescued us from the things in verses 1-5.

Well, the verse describes the sort of people who will be there in the "last days" of the wicked society of mankind. When we look at these signs, we can see that they are present now more than ever before. So from this we can understand that the end of wickedness is not far!!!

I like the fact that you didn't put in the verse, that way people will consult their Bible.
Yes it is true what is written in the Bible and I agree with it because I see so many signs that Jesus is about to come and get His bride. It's a pitty that some are not ready and that some just don't care enough.
I pray for those that just don't care or they are ignorant of God or the warnings that have been written in the Bible. Jesus is coming. Whoever it is, do you care enough to be caught up in the air with him? Who do you want to please, God, yourself, others or the Devil? If not God you WILL regret it.

I think it's sad but a true description of society in general today... Also, exciting that we could be living in the last days. We could be living through a prophesy of the Bible. Something to share with the grand kids. If other prophesies in the Bible have had fulfillment, why not this one?

Christians have been pointing to things like this since the 1st century, so I don't think that it has anything specific to do with today's society.

To Readytogo: You wrote, "I believe we are there...and any who thinks otherwise is blinded by satan." Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean that they are "blinded by satan." That is very arrogant!!

Chica1: Don't you mean Matt 24? Probably just a typo.

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them. 2 Tim 3:1-5 NIV

Sounds like our society today. I think it's almost time. Get ready to fly!
