This guy never said he likes me. But his many actions tell me so. I've implicitly told him we should not get too close. He was visibly upset for the few days that followed.
2 months has passed. Our conversations are back to normal. But somehow I still feel that he still has feelings for me. How can i tell?

Sometimes the embarrassment of getting shot down can make a guy do funny things. He will continue to have feelings for you. ...but if he has accepted your "no", then you shouldn't have much to worry about. Just don't do anything that might lead him to believe you like him. ...even little things!

You may be having conversations, but is there communication? I don't think so. It sounds to me that he does not or cannot express himself well. He may never have learned how.
But you were right...no games, you told him not too close. Nice boundary setting! Stand by what you've said. Always make your no mean no. If you don't, it won't be a compromise, it would be a surrender.
How can you tell? Ask him directly.
This will also tell you if he has a hard time expressing himself.
Most guys do. Particularly when it comes to emotions.

I may not know a lot about this kind of problem but I'll try. If you know this guy in person, the problem will be easier like if he goes to the same school as you. I'm not saying if you met this guy online to meet him somewhere in reality. Just to be safe, don't go and meet him in person if you met him online unless you have your parent permission. If he likes you he will get embarrassed around you or when he takes a long time to answer you.

If he blushes around you when you talk to him, bingo! If he looks at his hand and pretends to look a his watch, sorry! Fiddling with his fingers is a good sign of him liking you. Asking is the best answer.
Practice asking before you ask him in person(in your room maybe!!) or if you met him online, say things like,
"I have a question to ask you," and he might say, "Yeah?" Then say it. I crossing my fingers for you!! One more hint: If he's over protecting and has compassion for you more than a friend, bingo!! GOOD LUCK!!

If only I had a nickel for every time a girl has asked this question. Why do girls need to hear a guy say it? Don't they realize that it doesn't prove anything? Playas will gladly say it to a girl, just to get in their pants. Get my point?

the best way to tell if he likes you is to ask him. that is the only way you will get the truth. but be prepared for his answer.

He wants to get in your pants. If he's still hanging around he's hoping that you'll cave in and give him some. If you don't believe me, ask him.
