Cocaine used to be used surgically for eye and face operations, has since been replaced by better synthetics. Also, coca is an important spiritual herb for some South American tribes, so it has a purpose other than to just get people high. The same with Marijuana, the plant has many uses, like hemp, to replace cloth or paper, and hemp seeds for birdseed. It also is a spiritual drug to the rastafarians, and is very helpful in chemotherapy for cancer patients. So, just because people can misuse something to get high, doesn't mean that is it's only use or purpose .

God gave us a mind to make our own decisions. He gave us free will. What we do with this is up to us. There are some man made things created with these green plants which are not good for us. Add a little of this, a little of that and walla! what have we got here? ! It's up to us. We are going to make mistakes. if we know it could be harmful, then why do we do it? We just need to be discerning. Yes, I am a christian. I am not perfect or ever will be. I will be under construction until the day I die. God bess you.

Well man made beer, God made the leaves for the healing of our nations, but Satan is totally against humans to worship God in any way. Marijuana is such a leaf.
All churches who condemn the puff of a joint are caught up in the "as one here put it" the media generated manufactured consensus. They are false teachers of man not God, neither do they have the Holy Ghost. They will tell you It is ok to sin, because God will forgive you if you are saved.
I am born again, in Vancouver it is legal to smoke pot. I smoke it and worship my God. Any one tells me this is sin is a liar and the accuser and false teacher. They are of the devil no matter what cloths they have on. They either directly or indirectly support their local Hells Angles, but they in no way support God. God will not know these people indeed. They will be cast out! Jesus called them hypocrites the very reason why we have so much crime is because of this evil ignorance that stems from judgmental minds that think they know more then God! Of all the people on earth God hates these the most. For they come to you in sheep’s clothing and are only wolves ready to devour the children of God.
Indeed death is to good for them, that is why they are going to hell!
They impose burdens were there was no burden, and try to make it imposable to get to heaven, where they them selves will not enter.
Stay clear of such fools! Many there will be on there way to heaven, but few there be that find it.
Read of Jesus and let Him into your heart. The Holy ghost will guide you. Let man kind lead man kind to the pit, as a blind man leads a blind man.

He created them... I am not sure that it says in the Bible that they are wrong to use... I certainly think cocain is wrong to use, but that isn't the same thing as chewing the coca leaves. They are not anywhere near as addictive or dangerous.
Weed is better in my opinion than drinking, no one beats their kids when they come home high...
Anyway, God created them because he did. It isn't like God is responsible for the US passing the laws against those... We obviously have a moral obligation to follow the law, for the most part, but if the law changed...

We were told that every seed bearing plant was put here for us. Marijuana is excellent for restoring appetite in cancer patients or other chronically ill patients. It helps glaucoma, it can be used as a rub or a poultice. Sativa can help depression, Indica can help insomnia. Its fibers can be used to make paper and clothing. Marijuana can be consumed in cake, it can be cooked in butter and used in any recipe, and its leaves can be brewed to make a tea.
I don't know much about coca leaves, sorry.

That would go for mushrooms, poppies and tobacco too. If the ones who wrote the Bible believed this, it would explain a lot.
Would we really need to be told to consume plants? Don't really hungry people automatically look around for things they can eat?

Coca leaves provide temporary immunity to high altitudes, works as a suppressant to pain and hunger, and overall increase bodily endurance. The best thing about it is that its harmless and one of God's many gifts :)

Coca leaves are very good, the ones who chewed tobacco changed to coca leaves can tell you the difference.
