You can keep it out of the refrigerator (bananas, apples,pears) etc will discolor once they are put in the fridge. Items like grapes,oranges should be in the fridge but either in the fruit bin or repackage and place a piece of paper towel and seal up but making about 15 small holes so it could breath.

Cut fruit can be kept from getting brown, oxidizing, by putting lemon juice on it . A commercial product is Fruit Fresh which is citric acid and viatamin C. Lime juice works, as does orange juice. It takes a slightly acidic condition to keep the enzymes from acting with the air.

Mix up about 1 1/4 teaspoons of salt with about 1 cup of water. Place the fruit in the water for about a minute and take them out.
If you don't like that idea, you can sprinkle some lemon juice over them.
