My parents sent me to this school where there is NO proper education, druggies, emo's, losers, and REALLY poor people. If i want to go to Oxford, i cant go to this schoool. The bus for the school i WANT to go to comes to my old elementary school at 6:50. It takes 10 minutes to get there. how can i convince my parents?!?!?

I had a similar experience last year. I thought that this one school would be very good for me, but the quality of the faculty and other students was not as good as we were hoping. My best suggestion for you is to write out a list of pros and cons for each school and explain to your parents why you want to go to the other school. It might be that you have to wait until next year to go to the better school, but atleast this way your parents know you are interesting in going to a different school.

Use a two prong attack. Tell them that this school isn't really aligned with your future goals. Tell them it would be a shame for you to attend a school that you will learn nothing from because of the school's climate. In short, describe how this school is in conflict with you aspirations.
Secondly, tell them that there is pressure to use drugs, participate in inappropriate behavior, and a heavy emphasis on earning money in the world's oldest profession in order to make quick cash to help with tuition and books (in other words, hit them with details...made-up if possible). Good Luck

Make a well thought out list of the pros and cons. Call for a meeting with the parents. CALMLY sit down and DISCUSS the options. Ask for their input. Make sure you are not the only one talking. Please use your listening skills. After clearly stating the reasons why you want to change they might actually budge. Have real reasons too, don't say "just because", "I don't know why I want too"etc....be very definitive. Hope all works out well.

Talk to them. Tell them that you are afraid these people will try to force you to do what they are doing.

Get bad grades. Maybe that will inspire them to transfer you back to your old school.
