Many People have been mistakenly led to believe that they are Christians by false teachings. They are counterfiet Christians. (cults)
Counterfeit Christianity is probably the best description I can give for a cult. Counterfeit Christianity is an imitation of real Christianity. Bible terms like "Jesus Christ, Resurrection, Salvation, and Atonement" are used by the Cult, but the various cult groups have assigned entirely different meanings to these terms.
Like counterfeit money which is sometimes difficult to detect, so it is difficult to detect counterfeit Christianity, since it looks like the real thing. Experts examining counterfeit money often hold it up to a strong light and look for identifying marks. Counterfeit Christianity also has identifying marks, which can be seen when, held up to an even stronger light, the light of God's word, the bible.
We are at an advantage if we know what to expect from a cult. Cultists are very well trained to appear "Christian", and indeed believe they are the true churches, and you need the deliverance! Therefore, be bold and ask the question, "do you believe the group you represent is the only true church on the face of the earth?"
If they reply that they are, or if they are evasive, making remarks like "Well, every church has a measure of truth but...", you have made an early detection of a Cultist.
Every true Christian, if asked the same question, regardless of his denomination, would reply that the true church is comprised of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, and HE (not some organization) is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE, (John 14:6). No legitimate denomination would claim that they alone and their members have salvation exclusively, but the cults (the counterfeits) do.

AMEN! I think it is a ridiculous waste of energy to even go there! yes, it is about fruits of the spirit. So people need to quit wasting time downing each other. That energy could be put to much better use.OH! Your a good christian, your a bad christian... come on now! Judge not, lest ye not be judged! Take the log out of your own eye before trying to remove the splinter from your brothers (and sisters, Added by me.) OOPS, I guess I sinned by adding that. It says in the Bible not to add to or take away from the word. Im sure God will forgive me for trying to get the point across. I am sorry, but it agrivates me also. Where does christianity come into downing each other? Jesus said to love one another. Help each other in a christian way, yes. I have seen some real rude stuff in here. It bothers me, but I will just pray and keep holding fast to the Lord. I will make mistakes and hopefully learn from them. God can take the negative and use them for positive. Life is a lot lessons. Seek ye first the kingdom of God. I find my answers through him and him alone. At times it may come through another person he puts in my path. We all need to work on those fruits and give God all the glory. God Bless you, good question.

To me, a christian is anyone that believes Jesus was the Messiah and will one day return to earth. There are many different religions that claim to be of the christian faith, and they are for the most part. Each of these different denominations pick out the parts of the bible that fit the way they think they are supposed to live. My sect believes that God loves and accepts all, regardless of their faults. So, yes, this includes homosexuals and trans genders. I believe that all it takes to be accepted into heaven is to accept Jesus as your savior, and live with love. I think it's a greater sin for a man and woman to get married for money or social standing, than two men who truly love each other. And there are churches full of others who believe as I do. My pastor even believes that most of the Old Testament is metaphorical. So do I. Not all Christians push religion down your throat, and not all are rotten fruit.

We are to bring others to Christ AND help them develop as a Christian, that is our fruit. the verse says, and you will know them by their love. That means there is a mutual love of Jesus Christ in every Christian and it is easily recognized. If you are a Christian who is not walking the way you should, it is the job of other Christians to point that out to you to help you get back on track. In Bible days, some that refused to change, the apostle handed over to Satan to deal with their flesh that their soul might be saved. There is no such thing as eternal security. We must walk in the word and continue to do so. When we sin, we take it to God and move on. Those that refuse to acknowledge sin, CAN loose their faith and their chance for heaven. Time and time again the big word IF is in there and is followed by, they remain in the word. The word is Jesus Christ according to John chapter one. So if you remain rotten, you loose.

It's a convienent way to dismiss bad behavior by the less savory of their numbers. That and the Exclusivity Doctrine--the claim that only one religion in the world can be the "true" one, and that their own faith is it. Anyone not precisely like them cannot be "true".
To someone like me, if they believe in the Christian version of God, and the Bible, then they are Christians. Why? Because as far as I am able to tell, there is no possible way to determine which sect or subsect of Christianity is a "true" one...especially since so many of them make that claim.

Can you elaborate more on your question? True Christian argument against??? To me, someone who is not a true Christian goes around pretending to follow the Bible, but behind the scenes is someone totally different. True Christians act the same in all t kinds of company. A false Christian is someone who, for lack of a better term, isn't at all a Christian. All sin, even us Christians...

"I am the vine, you are the branches..........." Those that do not produce fruit, He will cut off and throw into the fire.
The Sower sows the Word...... those that receive the word, produce.... some thirty-fold, some sixty-fold, some one-hundred-fold.
By their fruits you shall know them.
Without the Word producing life in you, then you don't have the Word.
If what is being produced in and by your life is rotten, then you are rotten. Jesus is not rotten, only lost men are.

I'm not sure if you have a specific incident in mind.....but there are good and bad people in ALL groups.....including whatever one you associate with. But you don't see me judging you by YOUR peers actions....
Also, there are people who claim to be Christian who are definately NOT Christian. They do this to spread false claims to deceive people. That is false teaching, The Bible speaks about this and tells that these actions have consequences and a price will be paid by these people.
For the most part, you can tell a true Christian by their actions, but we all have bad days and Christians aren't perfect......we are, however, forgiven........:-)
