Is it possible to find reasonable permanent parking spots in that area for under $150/month?

I'd say more likely to be $250 based on signs I"ve seen walking around. Unless you really need a car, give it up and rent one when you need it or take a taxi. It's not worth the expense.

If you are going to live in the city, give up your car. You will need to spend a fortune to park it and you will never use it. I don't recall ever seeing any parking in the E. Village at all. The real estate is too expensive not to be apartments/shops.

And if it did exist, you are dreaming to think it would be that inexpensive. Just sell the car, r live in Queens or Brooklyn.

From what I've seen, I very strongly doubt it. If I saw a $150 monthly spot, I would have rented it years ago.
