The first thing you need to do is have a way to legally migrate, and then enforce the laws, if something is illegal, then it's illegal, there is no going around it. The way things are right, now you only get people who are willing to break the laws, and most decent people simply cannot go there. Like I would love to move to the US, but I really see no legal path to a green card, so I simply cannot go.

I agree with cheery. There's lots of people that enter this country legally and want to become part of the society and it becomes so difficult with all the immigration lawyers charging about $5000.00 or more. and end up stilling hard working people tha are educated and only come to achieve the american dream. Plus Imigrants don't only come from mexico but from all over the world, because for americans all imigrant come from mexico!. America is a society build by imigrants from all around the world that's why is so great but apperantly alot of people don't remenber that I studied here and the real americans are Indian Americans, The rest came from England and other parts of Europe to build a country with freedoms and rights. Anyways Bush should give a fair reform to those imigrants that enter the country legally and have many years working hard and never been involved in crimes and know the language. Not an amnesty but at least a temporary resident card so they could start contributing to this melting pot and go in the path of citizenship.

What can actually be done ? The past and current immigation rally's are shifting it to the point, where they want illegal immigration enforcement to come to a complete halt. Families are broken up, but is this also, not the same as any Americans who do wrong, become seperatred from their loved ones. Should not the laws be equal to one and all. ?

Considering that there are so many illegal aliens in the US, what can we do? I live in a town that has a majority of illegal aliens. No one wants to admit it, but if they closed the borders to everyone, this town wouldn't survive. The majority doesn't control the local government but they definately run the town.
Immigration drains the state economy near the borders. Either control the borders or help the states being burdened. Do lines on a map make a difference? no

From an immigrant myself, the problem I do see from my own experience is...

If immigration get their act in order to start with.
I can understand why lots of people come here illegally or stay here illegally once entering legally.

As a Brit I thought immigrating here would be easy, and straight forward. But no. Immigration made so many mistakes, took so long, and I had a nightmare of a time whilst waiting for my documents. I felt like giving up.
I have to be honest here...if I came from a country that I didn't care to return to one day, I would and could easily have stayed here illegally. So if I felt like that as a legal immigrant, why do you think there are so many illegal immigrants in the US.
Immigration offices have not got their work in order, god knows who is working for them as the mistakes they make is absurd.

I am not saying immigration should be easier, but if the paperwork and length of time was in a better order/timely then a lot of immigrants wouldn't give up the legal way.

Most people think that illegal immigrants just get into the US illegally, but the fact is, a lot of illegal immigrants actually came in legally to start with then became illegal.

Wow, this has really become a forum for people to rant! Anyway Andi, there are already laws that would keep people from coming into this country illegally. They are just not enforced. You have to wonder why. Is it because it is convenient for the USA to have people working for a few dollars an hour? And if there are people willing to do it, why not just give them a chance with a Guest Worker Program?

All we need is enforcement of all immigration laws.

We do not need congress to take ANY action on the policy....we do need the president & congress to enforce our laws & uphold the constitution...

Congress needs to repeal the 14th amendment which is a separate issue than enforcing our laws....

The pro-illegals are in front of congress DEMANDING a moriatorium on enforcement of our immigration laws & stopping deportation of illegal alien criminals!

One has to wonder why congress is listening to a bunch of radicals rather than the majority of the American people....and doing what is best for our country!

Another way to help is not spend one cent on the last day of the month....
The National kickoff for www.wethepeopleboycott.org began this month. This organization was started to protest the illegal alien invasion and our government, which is ignoring We The People. Our leaders have forgotten who they work for.

This web site's organizers ask one simple thing of each of us, and this shouldn't be a burden on anyone. Simply DO NOT MAKE ONE SINGLE PURCHASE ON THE LAST DAY OF EACH MONTH. The last day of the month is coming up soon. Gas up the day before. Make sure you've got the groceries you need. Take your lunch to work. Don't shop on-line. Just one day a month.

Do this simple thing to show you want your borders secured and you want your country to remain sovereign. Do this for the many Americans who have lost their jobs to illegal aliens. Do this for the millions who have had their identities stolen, causing personal financial and mental nightmares. Do this for the 25 American citizens who die each day at the hands of illegal aliens, either by drunk driving or violent crimes. Do this for the thousands of American children who are molested by illegal aliens each year. Or for the countless people who have contracted diseases, such as Tuberculosis, Chagas, Polio and even Leprosy, from illegal aliens who have underwent absolutely no required health screenings (millions working in the food or agriculture industry) in order to live in this country--including their children who sit in classrooms with your children.
These are just a few reasons to boycott American companies one day a month.

The North American Union, one big Canada/US/Mexico nation, is real and being phased in right under our noses, without so much as a whimper from American citizens. Our elected officials are blatantly disregarding the will of the people. Ask yourself, "Why?"

We should follow Mexico's example and do what they are doing on their southern border, putting troops there to stop their So.American brothers from crossing into Mexico.then enougage all our lazy deadbeats & criminals to move to Mexico.SHUT our damn border and step up deportations of illegals back to their homeland&let their govt. deal with them.

Illegal trespassers should be rounded up and sent home!

Sorry, but illegals take much more from this country than they contribute. If they don't like it, they can GO HOME! Go ahead, show us how horrible our lives would be without millions of criminals in the US. Teach us a lesson. If you're that valuable, then we'll be begging you to come back, right?

Go ahead. I'm calling your bluff.

We're waiting...
