If tats/piercings were so bad for you why do so many people have them? So no they are not bad just get them done by a professional they guarentee their ink work so the other thing is that if you are going to work in white collar most places dont like tats to show so they would have to be covered. Some other places wont let you have facial piercings while on the clock. Just remember that ink is forever and that 20 years down the road it might not look the same but by getting it done you say ok to all this. Also when you pick something think about the future will I have a chance of hating this in 5 years or if I have kids and they see it will it scare the crap out of them. So pick something that shows who you are or how you feel, part of your personality. IGNORE THE DUMB AZZ PEOPLE THAT SAY TATS ARE CRAP IT MEANS THEY DONT HAVE ONE AND ARE JEALOUS OR THAT THEY THINK MOST EVERYTHING IS STUPID AND ARE JUDGEMENTAL ABOUT THINGS SO IF THAT IS SOMEONE READING THIS QUIT ANSWERING TAT QUESTIONS IF YOU DONT HAVE AN OPEN MIND

It's OK in moderation, but it's pretty easy to go overboard (just like with anything). You need to be careful about tattoos and "odd" piercings that show when wearing normal work clothes. They can lend a bad impression in the work place. One thing you need to keep in mind is that most piercings grow up if unused, but tattoos are forever.

No not at all!!!!!!!
Only points to be taken into consideration is that are you ready to undergo the pain(it depends upon the sensitivity of your skin, this is different for different people).Viewing it as a health hazard is not at all advisable until you do not get it done from a clean and cautious studio. It is the post-tattooing session that really matters. Moreover there is a social link to this.ie when your tattooed most of the people consider you to be on the outlaw side.At last it depends on you...

It all comes down the cleanlyness and proffesionalism of the artist. They should be careful that everything is steril and that they only use NEW neetles. Then it's all up to you! You have to take good care of your bod art. infections on new tattos and piercings can be nasty and seriously dangerous. But as long as you follow the instructions given by your artist you should be ok. Just be careful and do your research before doing anything permanent to your body.

I'm sure everyone will feel differently about this, but I don't think there is anything wrong with piercings and tattoos. The only time it becomes a problem is when you cannot get a job or your family disowns you because of them...but then I don't think its your fault, I think its theirs to a good extent

It is a matter of choice and opinion for the most part.

It is definitely bad for you if not done by a safe clean reputable qualified person. If it is not done properly and leads to infection or health risk.

Anything else is a matter of personal tastes.

Everyone's opinion is different. I have 4 tattoos and a number of piercings. It's fine for me, but my parents think it's too much.

I got 2 tattoo's 8 years ago and I regret it now. Just remember they are permanent and you will have to live with them for the rest of your life.
