If you miss what you used to had with him before the break up, it probably will not be the same if you get back together because you will both have the knowledge that you have broken up before. There will be some doubt probably here and there but it can be overcome. I too have broken up with a guy twice but turned around and kept going back out with him. It isn't the same love feeling like before, but it is different, but still strong. It can be wonderful again, but you have to talk to him, truth and confessing everything will help the both of you.

I think you need to take a back seat and address your emotions when it comes to you lover as you certainly have mixed feelings at the moment.
1. Think about why you love him in the first place
2. Think about why you decided to break up your relationship

Try and think why you broke up with him in the 1st place. List out all the good things about him and all the bad things, weigh out the pros and cons of your relationship.
You probz miss him at the mo but you move on and find new people. The world is your oyster! Don't dwell on the past.
