There are probably flats in some of the poorer areas of The Bronx that sell for that. It would probably be a risky investment and you may not want to live there.

Oh my gooness...NO WAY! My friend just bought a condo and she paid $950,000 and it isn't anything to write home about! You can't touch NYC for $100k....Not even surrounding areas....Sorry.

How many jobs you gotta have to live in NY?

possibly, but its all about LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! FOR ABOUT $100K you would be able to get a small place outside of the suburban area, but you would NEVER find anything close to decent in time square or anywhere around it,sorry

no, it isn't...you will have to rent and at that with room-mates..sorry...100 k isn't gonna cut it...renting is better anyway, let someone else deal with all the problems...invest your $ and pay rent...have fun...the city never sleeps you know...

HAHAHAHA!!!

If you find one that cheap, chances are it's either someone's closet or a total dump.
