I`d try ebay,buyer to collect or your local papers for sale,how about putting an ad in your local shop window or post office.

Best way is to advertise in the local paper. People wont travel very far to collect furniture.

craigslist.org Its free to list and you handle the transaction in person with the buyer. No risk on your part or theirs. Its esp good for large heavy items because people don't have to pay for shipping.

Don't know where you live but in Ontario you can post ads free on the internet at Whaggle.com and kijiji.ca.
