I'm going to assume that nabumet is the same as the NSAID nabumetone. There have been no adequate or well controlled studies done to show if this medication is a problem for transmitting to newborns. The best advice I can give is speak to your doctor regarding this and seeing if possibly he can give you another medication that has been proven to be safe for breast-feeding mothers.

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (also called NSAIDs) are used to relieve some symptoms caused by arthritis (rheumatism), such as inflammation, swelling, stiffness, and joint pain. However, this medicine does not cure arthritis and will help you only as long as you continue to take it.
Some of these medicines are also used to relieve other kinds of pain or to treat other painful conditions, such as:
* gout attacks;
* bursitis;
* tendinitis;
* sprains, strains, or other injuries; or
* menstrual cramps.
Breast-feeding—
* For nabumetone: Use of nabumetone is not recommended because it may cause unwanted effects in nursing babies.
Consult your doctor.

I would check with your dr. Much of the answer depends on your specific situation. I'm not familar with this medication, but if you HAVE to take it and it would be passed to the baby, then they may even ask you to stop breastfeeding. This should only be answered by a dr who knows your specific situation. If you can't ask a DR, then I would research the med on the net, and find out what it's level it is. I did a search on this medication, and unless you spelt it wrong, I can't even get a hit.

Although NAISIDS are occasionally used for breast discomfort for blocked ducts, the question of transmitting to the baby is a question for your doctor.
