I notice that my stepdaughter seems to be creative like her mom. My other daughter with different mom shows no signs of creativity.

children do differ from eachother. but do bear in mind, creativity comes in different forms! anything that incourages the use of an imagination is helpful to inspire creativity. reading to children at a young age helps as do tactle toys such as blocks. art prodjects help too...like finger painting, regular painting, clay, play dough. i think creativity and imagination go hand in hand. but they don't have to be crafty to be creative. :)

That's because they are different children. There probably is a genetic component to having an aptitude for creativity, but it's also a learned thing as well. The kids obviously have different experiences and different takes on those experiences, so their aptitudes for different skills will vary based on that plus the genetics.

well there are different ways with different children. To bring out my creativity I do what I like and it just comes to me. Try thinking about the way she feels about it. Maybe she's just not creative. I'm artist/creativly impaired myself!!!Ususally it's hard for me to come up with something original.

i think there's no definite way to describe creativity, just how you look at it. i believe it would develop slowly, get more involved in arts, drama or literature. might help
