Which of these two sentences is more correct?:

1. There is not a better way of stimulating the goodness in people, than treating them as if they already have been good. or

2. There is no better way of stimulating the goodness in people, than to treat them as if they already have been good.

Of the 2, the second one is better. But I would say "There is no better way of stimulating goodness in people, than to treat them as if they were already good."
Much clearer. "the" is unnecessary in that sentence, and using the subjunctive tense is more correct in context.

The second one, its seems more intelligent and sound 100 times better.

The second is better, but remove the comma after people as it's not needed.
