FORD ESCORT IS A POOR PLATFORM TO START WITH.
FORDS MOTORS NOT THE BEST FOR THAT APPLICATION. FRONT DRIVE VERY EXPENSIVE TO BUILD TO THAT LEVEL. HONDA A MUCH BETTER CHOICE FOR FWD PLATFORM-STILL EXPENSIVE.

The only way to beat a corvette with an escort is in a race to the junk-yard. Or maybe, if you put Five pounds of C-4 behind the escort, and chain the vette' to a BIG tree, set off the C-4, it MIGHT beat the vette' by just a little bit. Really though, why would you even consider attempting this?? There is a reason for escorts, and a reason for vette's, the reasons are NOT the same!

You will essentially replace your whole car. First thing, strip out everything you don't need. This means, all seats, panelling, dash, anything you don't need. Replace everything that is left over with lightweight replacements. Next thing is you need to have a rear wheel drive conversion done. This is simple enough if you know what you are doing. Lastly you need to either find a small V8 and pump every possible power part into, or turbo charge a I4. Do all this and you may have a chance, but you know by the time you do all this you probably could have bought 2 Corvettes.

If you are serious and not some demented teen er, you can modify this car using performance parts such as a modified head, supercharger, nitrous oxide, reprogrammed chip, serious body lightening, and other modifications to make this 4 banger turn better 1/4 mile times than a stock vette. IT would cost you thousands and the results would be pointless, but you could say you did it....

its obvious tha what is the difference here is the engine power which very much determines who beats who ,as a result you must increase the engine power of your escot by doing a number of things that is first servicing you escot engine to retain its full potential or other wise changing your engine to a more powerfull ford engine size then you proceed to promoting your engine by instaring Turbo which will force you to expand your exhaust system to a much bigger size also remmeber to increase your caburator jets to a much wider diameter .This are just some of the things you would do to promote your escot swep tha corvette Nice Pimping

Rip out the undercarriage, cut some firewalls, rip out the suspension, drive train and engine and drop in all these parts from a 1967 Shelby.

BUY A FORD RX2000 FACTORY RACE CAR AND TEAR THE ESCORT BADGES OFF OF YOUR ESCORT AND PASTE THEM ON THE RX2000.
THE TURBO CHARGED COSWORTH POWERPLANT AND ZX TRANSMISSION WILL SMOKE A VETT.
