Yes... you don't download it ...they ship you a DVD.
But 5 months ago may have been too soon & not qualify.

This isn't true,some PC or notebooks (about all of new ones) are only Windows Vista capable hardwarely,but it doesn't mean that you can download or anyhow upgrade your OS to Vista,You should purchase one of eight kind of windows Vista.

You can get any thing for free if you pirate it. As far as receiving it because you have a newer computer, I haven't heard this anywhere, and neither has my friend who is a compusa "Vista Expert"

Not legally, but I expect you can get an illegal copy if you look hard enough. If Dell or someone do have a deal, ask them, but it's nothing to do with Microsoft...
