Have you had a good cry yet? If not do that, then get your favorite dessert and eat a little of that. You don't want to gain weight. If you are a runner, increase the number of miles you run a day, because you want to be really tired when you get back home. Call up a girlfriend that you sort of put on the back burner and find out whether you are still friends or not, and make a date to go to a movie, or bowling, or skating rink. Just keep busy so that you don't think about that person. Make sure you remove all the pictures and anything that makes your heart hurts. If you had a dog together, you can keep the dog, because they love you unconditionally.

You don't say why your heart is broken. But all healing does take time....no matter what caused your broken heart.
If it is due to a broken relationship, just reassure yourself that it could have led to something worse than a broken heart. Just tell yourself you CAN do better(been there, done that).
If it is from a death, that is different. Although that too takes time...it takes longer. Just remember all the good times you had with that person, what you learned and gained by knowing them, and what they gave to the world by being here. Do something to honor them. Just be joyous you knew them!
Having a broken heart is what we all go through in life. I think it actually makes one stronger. Teaches many things. Just think.."it is my turn...and I will get through this." It could be worse than the person next to you.
Last week(on Thursday) we buried a dear friend...on that same day, my husband's brother died.
Just pray to God to give you strength to get through it. That's what I do...and He has never failed me.

Breath in breath out.
For in the morning you don't know what the tide will bring in.
I suggest you keep it simple for a while let yourself heal. Sleep when tired, eat when your hungry, and above all else find people to listen to you and be with you. That person doesn't need to talk at all when their is silence let them know you are going to control the amount of conversation.
If you have a body of beleivers you can trust this is the time to go to them.
Keep anyone who gives you the old sayings of "get over it", or "something better is going to happen" or "I know how you feel"
don't spend time with them.
Keep positive supportive people around you. Take care of yourself.

get back in the game. i know that sounds harsh but the heart and mind heals faster if you find something to fill the void. pretty soon you will wonder why you were so heart broken. good luck to you and be happy!

I find it interesting that your question is in DENTAL.
One day at a time, someone else said it breath in and breath out,
it will just take time.
Try to occupy your self with things you love to do like hobbies.
Good Luck.
