Is drinking, smoking, and cursing sin?

Hmmm... I don't think so. I think such things are not helpful, but sinful?

Bible says nothing about smoking. Can't be helpful but doesn't appear to be sinful.

Drinking? You can have booze but not to the point your are mastered by it. Bible says not to be drunkard. If it were sinful Jesus would not have made wine for water, no? However, being drunk could easily lead to sin... I speak from experience on that one. ;-)

Ephesians 5:4
and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.

The above is the only thing I can think about for the vulgar thing. However, it is a suggestion. I guess, what kind of witness would someone give if they "cursed like sailor" ?

All things are lawful, but not all things are profitable . All things are lawful, but not all things edify.

As an atheist I don't believe in sin, but I don't do any of those things not because they are sinful but because they have consequences which I would rather avoid.
