Its sad, isnt it? That majority of women need men just to make their lifes complete.
I think its lack of love from their family and friends so they NEED a man.

WHY do women NEED men? Can they not function on their own? I am talking about young women - not marriage material (over 23ish). Im talking about UNDER 23 or whatever age.

young women are all about being, so ,like, 'We're so mature'
when they're not (see what i did with the tone of voice there). Girls of that age always go on about how much more mature they are than guys their own age.
Now that i am older i see what they are doing, they are making it up!! All they are doing is defining themselves through a man!!
And as i'm sure any man would tell you, thats a dumb idea!!

Biology. There is a lot less to us than we think.......... Women and men are both effected by the need to procreate. Look at the research thats coming out. Women Dress more attractively at the fertile time of their cycle. At that time men pick up on various cues and can recognice by apparnat attractiveness who is fertile or note. But there is a lot more to us then you think. This silly battle of the ses's ignores the fact we are socila beings despite all the complaints we need a friend close to us and a companion.
Yes we may be irritated by our opposite numbers but as they say you can't live with them and you can't live without of them. A why would any one have it any other way?

Actually i read the main reason why people breakup is because of the man and woman become too depening on each other for their happyness which is why problems such as jelosy arise .
People need someone when they are insecure and think having a date will make them happy ok im a little guilty of that but the truth is men and woman need to not depend on each other .
I wouldent want a woman to rely on me as her source of happyness because it makes a otherwise good relationship a pain in the *** and visa versa .

i dont need a man to make me happy, im happy with a man but for years after having my son i was young free and single! sometimes though i wished i had someone there to come home to, a partner someone to share the ups and downs with, be it a partner or a friend! i think thats why so many women need a man because of the wanting to share life with, i know it sounds daft but even though i was very happy by myself, just me and my son now i have someone to share how strange and wonderful life with my son is its just better, i wouldnt say im happier just happy in a different way! does that make sense? i hope you find the answer you're looking for! xx

We both need each other to have a complete life. I am 18 and i am engaged to a guy who i love. So i am far from 23, but there is no reason why someone at the age of 23 or below need not have a guy or think about a guy.
A man's company is different from a woman, they make you feel complete and safe.
Most young women look for someone to share their emotions with, it's nothing to do with not getting attention or love from their parents or family.

Even some women who are loved by their family and friends think they need men. What's missing is a sense of independence and self-love. They're too scared at the prospect of making it on their own, no matter how capable they are. At least some women know that this is wrong. You get the Rio Madeira Seal of Approval! For a while I've felt me and husband lead separate lives in the same house. I don't really miss him when he's not there. Apart from the fact that he pays my share of the monthly bills and some of my personal ones. I don't really feel as if I need him and he certainly doesn't make me happy. I wish I could tell him.

It is not the question why women need men or why men need women!
If you want to be independent you can be! It is not a compulsion that evreyone have it! but then it is alwayz better to have a partner who you can share everything; if you are alone then you have no one to talk to then you have no joy in life......
every person crave for attention.... you can not get that from any other than a person who is intimate with you.... like father and mother they may give you luv but it is not the same as your partner.... It is necessary to have one coz then you feel satisfied in life as you share everything good or bad in your life.
simple way of saying it is " to enjoy life!!" and it is not sad at all needing a man in life but I would say itz wonderful!! :)

I don't think it is a case of needing MEN but needing SOMEONE!. We need someone who we can share our innermost feelings with, we need someone who can tell us anything and make us feel better about ourselves. Women only think they need men because taking a compliment from a man is different to taking a compliment from your best friend, for some reason a complim,ent from a man means alot more because, you are being told that you are desirable to the opposite sex.
