Christ preferred to help people. He in fact made it quite clear that the temple of the Lord is in the heart of man not an edifice. Worship in church if you wish, but being good to your fellow man was His way. Churches tend to serve themselves more than they serve man. To be sure there are many Churches who do help, but the church itself is but a building.

Jesus did a lot of both. HE was a Jew and worshipped in the Temple. HE also taught, prayed, preached, and assisted those who were in need at every opportunity that HE came across. There seemed to be no end to HIS Kindness and generosity. HE gave HIS life so that we might have an opportunity to be in heaven. Have a great day.

Read "healing a leper" Jesus spent most of his time by himself, but healed the lepers so that they would be seen as equal members of society so that they could go to church and worship. Jesus took mercy on the people who were outcasted from church life, but I'm not sure how much he spent at church. He prayed to God but I don't think he needed to actually go to church. After all, he's Jesus right?

James 1:27
Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

One cannot worship God with a selfish/self-centred heart, nor an unforgiving heart, nor a greedy heart. A man who serves mammon cannot please God. The worshipper must first cleanse his/her heart and love God, then love his/her neighbor. Without these basics, the worshipping is meaningless, it becomes a stench.

Jesus was like an Evanglist who went about preaching and teaching the word of God. So Jesus was always worshipping, and was always about his Father's business.

Praying with love and respect on any form of God according to ones belief helps.

He is not in an empty building made of sticks and stones, he is out in the general populace, and lives in obscurity like most of us. God dwells with mankind.

Neither of these was the piority of Christ, His mission was for our salvation,to do the will of the One who sent Him,of course He had compassion for people and also obeyed the law of Moses but you seriously devalue His mission by labelling Him as some kind of pacifist social nurse maid..

Worship is an action word...Everything Jesus did was an act of worship.
