Because you're human, and food is readily available. What you have to do is stop being greedy, that's what needs to be controlled, not your diet. For you to ask the question you must be eating when you are'nt hungry. This is a mental thing and not to do with a diet. Try reading up on self control (not the religious crap but the mind training stuff).

Because you have an addiction to food. Something you NEED to start doing:
1) workout if possible
2) Portion control: Make you hand into a fist and compare it to the amount of food you are eating at any given time. You shouldn't eat more than the size of your fist. This will suck at first, but your stomach will get use to it and then you will start building a faster metabolism to eat more little meals throughout the day.
3) Don't worry about your diet. Worrying about it will only make it worse for you. You will want to eat to make yourself feel better about it.
Hope these steps help. Good luck!

Many people ask me how they can slim down. I recommend that people eat right and exercise. However, if they would like a little "help", I suggest using natural Hoodia (it's important to note that not all Hoodia works well, even if the bottle says "pure" or "standard").
The Hoodia sold at http://www.browneyea.info/free-diet-pills.php is in my opinion the best Hoodia on the market. It's pure, has no side effects, and they give you a free 15 day sample (there is a $7.99 shipping and handling charge, but they also give you free recipe and diet guides). Fantastic results have been seen with this particular Hoodia.

Possibly because you are trying to make sudden and extreme changes to it which you can't keep up with.
You are only human, like the rest of us, don't be too hard on yourself. Gradual change is the key. Gradually choose to drink fewer sugary & alcoholic drinks. Gradually increase how much water you drink and how many fruits and vegetables you consume. Don't try to be perfect. Just try to be a little bit better each week than the last week.
Forgive yourself if you splurge and eat lots of pizza or something and just go easy on the junk for the next few days.
Easy does it.

You need to work out the reason for you eating or not eating. Normally it is control or comfort. I never thought I comfort ate, but then one day it hit me. I do. Once you realise the underlying reasons then you will be able to control your diet.

insted of being controlly and all why not just shift the food you eat to healthy stuff then you can eat more great things and not worry as much intrad of eating less of the stuff you want to eat, ive given up bread, as bread is ny nemesis, and beer, as beer is evil and fattening and swithched to less processed carbs and wine/spuirits in lesser numbers, ive lost some weight and i feel good but i am not going mad on the controll vibe
