For all you spiritual people, how do you get closer to God and spiritual advance yourself into a better person or more God like just like Jesus without the pressures of other christians telling you that you are not a real christian because you do not believe in a God of wrath but a Godof love. I believe in a God of love and that we should be making decisions like jesus and life is a learning experience. But how do you go about being yourself without other christians throwing into your face that everything you believe is wrong or your going to burn in hell for eternity which i do not believe. THat message just gets in the way of my faith in GOd and my spiritual path. What do you do when people are critizing your belief ?

When I first started on my spiritual path I ask a similar question. My teacher replied with" religion shows us the way to God,spirituality shows how to live once we get there."Religion is a path to find the divine. While a spiritual path shows one how to live in there belief once it has been reached.

You will always have people critizing your belief...accept it.

But are you opening yourself up to inquiry and questions? How do they learn your beliefs unless you let them know?

Your beliefs are your beliefs - keep them to yourself (unless you feel the need to sometimes share it with someone to help a person - knowing this will expose you to criticism and you accepted that fact).

As for comments or criticism made (but not directled to you because they don't know your beliefs) - let it go. It does not matter what they say...and if you argue, they will only keep arguing. If they have other people around from their church or something, soon they will gang up on you. Don't bother putting yourself in that situation.

It takes two - so you are part of the problem. Remove yourself and there is no problem.

Remember that satan doesnt like to lose someone to God. Satan works against God and will do anything to entice mankind into either believing in him, not believing in the One True God, believing in idols etc. He will use anyone to distract you from your focus and faith in God because satan doesnt want you to have a relationship with the Almighty. Satan will feed you with rubbish and promise you lovely things of earth. We all know that heaven is a better place. We dont know how good heaven is and God hasnt given too much away but we know that eternal life is involved in God's gift. Satan has not authority over life or death so try your best to take No notice of all those negative people around you who try to put you off. Keep your relationship with God because only YOU will account for your life on earth. No one else can and God wont accept excuses about so and so putting you off or so and so misleading you and telling you lies. Im having a similar battle. We Christians know how the devil works so lets just rebuke him in all forms.

Well hun hell is real and even Jesus gave a picture of what hell will be like. Read Luke 16. God is also a God of wrath and that is also in God's word. If God was only a God of love then he would not chastise those he loves, but because he loves he does chastise us. That in Revelations. But to draw closer to God and Jesus you must read your bible, pray, and attend church with other believers. Witness to the lost is also another way.

First and up,most, Christians, if they are really born again believers through Jesus should be lifting you up and praying for you. If they are NOT doing that wipe the dust off your feet and don't look back. Remember Job in the Old Testament? Read that chapter and I think you will be encouraged and enlightened. ALL us REAL Christians go through that alot. Got to go to a safety meeting but I'll be thinking about ya.

No, yet no longer for loss of attempting. Gnostic theory predates Christianity and it 'took on' Christianity appropriate from the beginning up and has continuously existed in countless types with the aid of the centuries, being something of a thorn interior the area of the Christian Church. at present that is having a sprint bit a resurgence. yet as quickly as human beings locate out what those countless gospels state, it quickly will become clean that they are crammed with imaginings that are wildly ridiculous. case in point, interior the Gospel of Judas, Judas claims that Jesus got here from the immortal realm of Barbelo. that is what Sethian Gnostics have self belief in - a non secular and cosmological realm lots greater complicated than Christian theory. Sethian Gnostics have many gods with their own triad on the precise. that is meant to comprise of the wonderful triad of pop, mom, baby - that is, the Invisible Spirit (or the large One), Barbelo, and the Autogenes (their androgynous offspring). Sethians have self belief that Jesus is the divine Autogenes from the divine realm. in accordance to the Apocraphon Of John, yet another early Gnostic textual content fabric, Barbelo is the divine mom of all and "she grew to become the womb of each little thing, for that is she who's ahead of all of them, the mummy-Father, the 1st guy, the Holy Spirit, the three times-male, the three times-effective, the three times-named androgynous one, and the everlasting aeon between the invisible ones, and the 1st to return forth." There are no longer too many human beings around at present who may well be arranged to alter that variety of element for the historic Jesus and his smart sayings, as recorded interior the hot testomony.

First, I have studied the Scriptures in depth. You should do the same. Second, I believe what God says, whether or not I approve of it, understand the reasons for it, or think of it. God is God, and I'm not. Third, My commitment is to God, and not people. I care what God thinks of me. I can't help what people think. Yes, God is Love...but be assured, He is also a God of wrath and judgement. You can't choose what parts to believe and what parts not to believe....It's all or nothing. Remember the old saying, Jesus is Lord of all, or He's not Lord at all.

You are going to find this in whatever church you belong to, first of all. I myself believe in a loving God. I believe he gave us free will and a mind to make our own decisions. We don't always do the right things or make the right decisions. We are not perfect. It states in the Bible to go to your room or closet where you can be alone with your Father, to spend time with him in quiet. I feel that you can do this in many places. I have a place at the park that is quiet and peaceful. In my car I spend time with him, on my screened in porch in nice weather... ect. Don't worry about others and what they have to say. Read the word and spend time with the Lord, he will give you the answers, if you seek him. People will only serve to confuse you at times. Of course there are some good christians out there with good advise. We have to learn to be discerning in who we listen to. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. There is good critisizm and bad. Burn in hell? !!!!! How dare them! If you trust and believe in Jesus Christ with all your heart and soul and do not deny Jesus as your savior, NO! you WILL NOT BURN IN hell ! You sound like a very nice person and a good christian to me. It sounds as if you do seek him. Keep seeking him honey and only worry about what you feel in your heart what the Lord wants for you. We are suppose to love one another. We are here to serve the Lord. No matter how big or small the deed may be, it is all for his glory. Just keep feeling his love. Just keep remembering that whatever we do is for his glory, not ours. We are here to serve him. We can't buy our way into heaven, that is taken care of already through the blood of Jesus Christ. Keep him close to you. Keep yourself close to him. Jesus is the Way , the truth and the life. If you are at a chuch that you are not happy with, try another. It boils down to this though, you will find these people everywhere, in every church. Don't let that stop you. When you go to church, you go for your reason, to thank and praise and worship. I am sitting here right now listenening to my christian music station. I find a lot of peace through music also. A lot of good music, a lot of good messages. God Bless you sweetie.

Don't listen to them. Be true to your beliefs because only you are responsible before God for what you do. It's similiar to a passenger telling the driver there is nothing coming. It is still the driver who is responsible for any accident resulting.

Find new friends who believe as you do. I've never heard of anyone worshipping a God of Wrath, but I'm sure they do exist. Go and find a church where they believe as you do and you'll find many like minded people there.
