There appears to be a message in his behavior. He wants nothing to do with you, and is making sure that you know it. Ignore him, and move on.

Then don't mind him. Don't give him any attention and he'll understand that you are completely over him. If you let him see that bothers you, that will just add fuel to the fire. He's immature, so don't think of it too much. I suggest hanging out with other boys. You don't have to like them for dating, but just so he understands you have other options. Good luck!

It's awkward to talk to an ex. He might just be avoiding an awkward situation (a bit cowardly, but perfectly normal).

And maybe he believes rumors about you. Or does he have someone else who's jealous of you and he wants to avoid any rumors?

Most likely he is ashamed of his actions. Perhaps he has said or done something since the breakup that he thinks would upset you. Ignore him. He obviously isn't mature enough to face reality and will spend most of his life running.

Maybe guilt?? Maybe fear that you are going to cause a scene?? Write him a letter stating that you feel this way and that you really dont understand why he appears to be acting this way. If you want to be friends with him, say so. If you just want to be civil (saying hello etc), say so. That might work

Well if you are chasing him down, stop. It only makes him feel that he was absolutely right to break up with you. Do not look for him, no eye contact, etc. No more "bumping" into him, etc.
If you are not chasing him down, then don't worry about it and let him look like an idiot!

He is scared...maybe he is not over you and if he is around you his feelings might act out and he knows you don't want that so thats why he *runs*. I wouldn't worry about...if he is your X than why would you want him around anyway? Unless you guys are friends but obviously that can't be happinging if he runs.

It looks like he might have the feeling that he is not worth you. So to avoid his own embarassment or self consciousness, he runs off. Please donot take any notice of him, especially when HE broke off with you

it sounds like he is very immature.....go on with your day and as well as you can. Let him make a fool out of himself by running away.......you don't have to do anything differently. Hopefully he'll grow up soon.......or at least get tired of running......
