Why do beautiful girls tend to be dumb? Why do smart girls tend to be not beautiful? Is it true that beauty + brains = constant? WHAT IS BETTER?!

I hate it when people answer a question like this with BOTH yet find myself wanting to be one of those people! I would have to find a blend. If you theory is accurate (and it isn't, I know several intelligent and beautiful women), but if it were and intelligence went down as beauty went up, I would have to pick an average looking woman of average intelligence. Dumb bubbleheads are just to hard to listen to long term and there has to be some physical attraction in a relationship.

First, this question reinforces negative stereotypes, but let's play along, shall we?
Beautiful girls don't need to develop their mind because they can get others to do the thinking for them. Smart girls are concentrating on their education and don't have the time to devote to appearance. Beauty plus brains is not a constant-- I've run into my share of unattractive boneheads and gorgeous bombshells. I'll take brains over beauty-- unless horribly disfigured or way past her prime, any woman is or can be attractive enough to get my attention. It's good to have someone you can have an intelligent conversation with afterwards.

The world is not divided in smart girls and beautiful ones. It does exist the girl which is both beautiful and smart (for example me) but you just haven't found the right one yet.

I think there are tons of beautiful and smart women out there! I think, though, that the two traditionally didn't go together and some women still think that way and act dumb when they really aren't. I don't ever think "Hmmm, men. Why are they always handsome and stupid or ugly and brilliant." Why would the sexes be so different?

That is a hard question and well I don't know about you but I would rather be with someone who is intelligent that I can carry a conversation with over someone who is good looking. There are ppl out there that have both looks and brains you just haven't found that person yet. Keep looking till you do. Don't settle for something when you can find someone who has all the qualities that your looking for. Good Luck!

Obviously you have misplaced ideas of what is beautiful...I 'm friends with lots of beautiful, smart women...and I happen to be one as well.
In terms of what is better...well let's just say that beauty fades, but brains don't. Would you rather spend your life with someone who needs constant maintenance to keep up a look or someone who can keep you intellectually stimulated?

Beautiful girls don't need to concentrate on school because some sucker will take care of them since they are good looking. Whereas ugly girls, need to concentrate on school since no one will take care of them but themselves.
Ask any guy, they will tell you dumb pretty ones are better than ugly smart ones. Do you ever see guys fantasizing about smart chicks while they jerk off? They always jerk off to cute or fine girls.

Hey, not all beautiful girls are dumb and not all smart girls are ugly. Don't call people dumb, it's mean. Stupid is as stupid does. and stick with the smarts, they generally won't cheat on you.

of course brain is better, because 20 yrs down the road, the brainy one is still smart and the beautiful one has aged and lost all the sparks.
