All of our PLATINIUM Plated military toys...mean ZERO in the long run.

For every person our bizarre military machine kills how many terrorist do we generate?

Ask yourself...who is really profiting from the USA's constant conflicts and wars? War is a business and the USA is the major MERCHANT of DEATH in the world. Ask.....the CEO of Boeing, Halliburton, Northrup...they love war......and will do what it takes to keep war constant.

We are not a peace loving nation. We are a warring nation, with more warfare to our credit of late than anyone else. Reading posters here, you can see the antagonism and violence in our culture that makes this warfare politically possible.

And, sure, war is big business. All government entities seek to maintain the budget. It's a knee-jerk strategy in bureaucracy. So, DOD is going to keep itself in business, along with its Beltway bandit friends.

Anyone who thinks we are not a warring nation should remember that we are currently involved in a war of choice in Iraq, a pre-emptive war, which has cost us almost $400 billion so far, killed more soldiers than citizens died on 9/11, and maybe half a million innocent Iraqis. And, there is mounting evidence that the justification for war was deliberately fabricated.

So, we go to war by choice against nations that pose no threat. Even Powell as he was presenting the case at the UN acknowledged privately that the "evidence" of WMD was Shi'ite.

What's so "sick" about the B2 costing that much? Why do people consider it a bad thing that those who would wish us harm are capable of being attacked without any warning?

The fact of the high cost is that all the new technology, all the tooling, all the R&D, etc has to be amortized over a very small number of aircraft made. These are not "toys". These have a very serious mission.

We do not "generate" terrorists by killing terrorists. Killing terrorists eliminates terrorists. And please make yourself aware that terrorists and terrorism existed long before even the US was founded.

Ah, the nub of the liberal issue - blame the evil corporations. That's a very silly idea, as if the CEOs of a few companies can run this country and decide on war. I'll just say that only someone who's never served and who doesn't know anybody who's served, and who is unaware of the history of the world would believe silly childish ideas like that.

I agree no one really wins a war with all that death.... except for WWII, we won that war,, and the American Revolution,,and the Mexican War,,,and the Spanish American War,, and the Civil War. We seem to have won those wars as well. So no one really wins a war except the U.S.... But the French people won the French Revolution,, The British won the Seven Years war. Rome won the Punic Wars. Japan won the Russo-Japanese war. So it seems you can win a war.. what a stupid saying it isn't even true.

You seem to have a problem with war profiteering. It has been going on as long as we have had War. During the War of 1812 Americans who lived along the Canadian/U.S. Border sold Food to the Army to raise money for themselves,, only problem it was the British Army.

Whenever a country is involved in a war the cost of the war in men and machines needs to be weighed against the gain if you are successful. Example WWII cost a lot of Men and equipment, but it was worth it to not be goose stepping in Europe or in Japanese death camps. In our current military campaign is an Iraq free of Dictator rule worth 3000 men and the loss of equipment?

You bring up a good point but then you go off into some crazy wierded out place after the initial point.

What many people are not calculating, just like we seem to mis calculate a lot today regarding our military. Due to the expense of our military weapons, our tanks, humvees, smart bombs etc etc, America would not be able to sustain a prolonged military engagement with a capable foe. The military would literally go bankrupt.

Freedom isn't FREE. If I may quote Vegetius, "if you want peace prepare for war." If we hadn't out spent the Soviet Union in the Cold War, you and & would probably be either speaking Russian today or even worse, we would have been whipped off the face of the earth due to a nuclear warhead.

You have been brainwashed by the socialist elite media and leftist democrat party machine. Our B2 Bombers mean YOUR FREEDOM.

We have those things BECAUSE we are a peace loving nation. They protect your @ss so that you are free to insult our military and the people and companies that keep us ready to defend ourselves. This internet that you are using to spread your mental disease was invented and perfected by the military and the companies you loath.

Your argument about us "inventing" terrorists is another piece of false propaganda. ISLAM breeds terrorists. it is based on the principle of convert or kill. That is printed in its so-called holy book, you know, the one written by the mass-murdering pedophile who has decreed that children are to be beaten, young girls are to be molested by sick old imams, women are to be beaten (oh, but not TOO harshly though), and those who are unwilling to submit to this sick cult are to be beheaded.

Boeing, Northrup, the evil HALLIBURTON. These are great American success stories that I am proud to recognize as among our best and brightest.

And I am proud to support our Commander-in-Chief.

I think the question isn't how much the military hardware is, but how much it is to run it. This Iraq war has costed us almost a half trillion dollars. For what reason? I don't think that the Iraqi navy was actually going to show up in NYC and start shooting. A bunch of camal jockies with ak-47's don't scare me.

So, what do you propose? Should we get rid of our weopons, sit back and see what happens? the USA at least needs to be able to defend itsself if neccessary, which is what I think we should be investing our tax dollars in.
