No ... Vietnam had it and most of the men didn't want to be there to put their full efforts to the war.

Maybe they already have. Have you ever heard of the national service act of 2007. It is a bill right now. It says that all persons even women between the ages of 18 and 42 perform national service either as a member of the uniformed services or civilian service to furtherance of the national defense and homeland security. Maybe a nice way to say there is going to be a draft. Google it.

I think some form of compulsory service to this country would be in order. They could choose military service or volunteer work in the social arena. If we do have a draft, I suggest the Republican (Bush voters) families lead the way with the offering of their young adults.

No i really don't believe that the United States of America, a.k.a, should have a draft for the enlisting of young men and women into the military forces of our country, because those young men and women who want to be doing other things with their lives will not do their best in our armed forces from the United States of America because they won't want to be there.

Yes, and it should be written in the law that first-order relatives of state and federal legislators and cabinet-level-or-higher administrators are all automatically drafted as enlistedmen in the infantry.

YES! Let the millionaires and politician's sons fight beside the poor man's son. Share the burden. Share the responsibility.

It has nothing to do with what you want! it has EVERYTHING to do with protecting the freedoms that so many Americans take for granted. The freedom that our fathers, grandfathers and great grandfathers fought, bled and died for.

I pray everyday for salvation for the selfish, Hedonistic, Idolistic America that we have become.
