We all have dreams.. but to answer your question... I'm more content with what I have, then what my dreams may hold within.

Sort of like sex, if you never had it... you are not missing anything, once you have it you need it...whether you really need it or just think you do.

I chase after things. Education, for example. I'm not content just having the education I have now, I want more. And I am happy with what I have at this time, but only for right now. I don't want what I have now, forever. I want more. I'll do what I have to do to get there. I think that's natural. We wouldn't be the society, or even country, that we are today if people didn't want more. For example, if people were content, then technology wouldn't have developed to the point where I can write this over the internet and anyone in the world can see it.

There are very few things I chase. There are some things I want, but there is no need to chase after them. I am very content with what I have, but not so content that I am lazy. =)

I thought I was content with what I have, then after a discussion about pride, I realized I'm probably chasing after things more than I'd like to admit.

I have a friend who epitomizes this question. She has a very expensive large house with a swimming pool in California, She drives a BMW SUV. She has several large diamond rings. New furniture. Closets filled with clothing and shoes. She goes on vacation to exotic locations at least twice a year. She and her family are miserable. She cries 'poor' all the time. She is heavily in debt. Her husband has turned to alcohol and she to shopping.. Her daughter, 21, drives a BMW, has more clothing than my entire family put together. Her daughter is on anti-depressants.

What does that tell you about the pursuit of things?

Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all the others things that you need shall be added to you (Matt 6:33).
Seeking first God's kingdom and His righteousness is my chase.

Both. Working with complete efforts for things without fever and contended with whatever God provides thereafter.
