Is it true that if you cut caffinated and sugared drinks: pop, iced tea and coffee: that it will help in the weight loss process?

For me it wasn't the caffeinated drinks, it was the sugar. When I cut down the sugar and started exercising regularly I lost about 10 pounds. Cutting down on the caffeinated drinks is important when you suffer from high blood pressure or liver problems, but it's not a decisive factor for weight loss.

For sodas the problem is the type of sugar; refined and processed glucose. It adds to weight gain and rots your teeth.

Caffeinated products cause you to lose water as a dieuretic, but not lose fat and can cause stress which increases food intake.

I have lost 10 pounds by cutting out all soda, sweet tea, and junk in my coffee. I only drink black coffee, un-sweet tea, and at least 8, eight ounce glasses of water daily. I avoid anything that is nutritionally "bankrupt", and stick to fresh veggies, fruit, and lean meat.

Fact, alot of those sugary drinks give you an insulin spike. Insulin is responsible for increasing the mobilization of nutrients in the body. But if your body's fuel (glycogen) is completely replenished guess how those excess "nutrients" get mobilized: as fat stores in the body.

Fact. I had to cut down on caffeine and sugar when I had my gallbladder removed. I drank SoBe, Milk and lots of juice.
