In relation to HMO insurance, mental health is alot like dental health. They are not part of the mainstream every-day claims but fall under the same unbrella as Medical Care.

Yes, but check with your insurance provider. Mental Health visits are covered in a different fashion because those benefits are managed by a different department because of the privacy issues and the sensitivity of the care.

NO ! what Psychiatry made of it is pseudo-science=fake!. the real reason for mental problems does not require drugs and electric shocks and closing people in small cells. the real mental solution is DIANETICS by L. Ron Hubbard. read it and you'll find out too. oh, and there is a great DVD that goes over the history of Psychiatry and their abuses in this field. you can find it in www.cchr.org
they are closing the Psychiatry's hospitals and jailed a few. it is great! and true. once this is done we can get real solutions for mental issues and really cure people.

It is, but insurance companies treat it differently. They generally pay half of the cost and limit your number of visits.
