I think your link is incomplete.

No, I don't think they need to pay anything else. They are our greatest ally, and have stepped up to support us when asked.

Ignore the rude Brit. He's trying to get you to act like an a**. Don't give him what he wants.

He does not speak for all Brits by any stretch.

Why dont you get a new doctor? And by asking your doc for a counseller, you will get it for free Your debts die with you, unless you have a partner (of any kind, friends family lover) that you have took out a mortgage or loan, then they wil have to finish it for you The government will spend years trying to get others (family)to pay your debts, letters visiting etc. My wife has suffered from sever depression for 10 years now and i have been there supportin her (so muh that a have became depressed, tho mild) so i know what kind of things you have been through (suffering) Its easily found by googling 'debts dying with you uk', you will get will tons of results Had to check it coz my dad passed away a couple months ago and he had some debt. Killing yourself is not the answer, theres always something who will miss you and prob make them depressed. You dont even need a counseller, look up chatrooms with people in same situation and speak to them.

I'd rather write off the loan to the UK than the billions we have given Russia since it was ruled by the czars, most recently to help them secure the nuclear weapons and materials like they just nailed that blackmarketeer with a sample of (he claimed he had much mrore stockpiled at home, on the Russian side of the border, but Russian authorities would not cooperate in verifying). We also paid them to re-target their nuclear missiles like we did ours, they did not, so all those who think Clinton protected you, you were, and are, still only a button, computer glitch or electrical short away from a mushroom cloud, have a nice day.

No. The debts should be forgiven if they haven't already been. They're a drop in the bucket anyway.

To Tanner Rabbit: Rightly or wrongly, I seem to recall the Brits being right next to us when that little war started.

I think we have more than paid our debts. This latest war was also started by you hot headed Americans. A lot of our British solders lost their lives for YOUR war!!! Because of YOUR presidents bully boy tactics. He is a greedy selfish man Mr Bush.
He starts the war through greed and we have to all pay the debt by sending our troops in to make your over populated and greedy country money.

We are only a small country, and the only time you are interested in us as a nation is when you are in trouble.

Lear to fight your own battles. Better still send Bush in and put him the same situation a so many of our country men have been in the war will soon be stopped.

Yeah and while we're at it, the USA should pay loss of earnings charges and land taxes to Native American tribes that used to own the land.

What in incredibly American way of thinking "Lets TRY to sue/charge someone for something, we'll probably at least get a settlement. =D"

If I recall correctly, the US already forgave that debt. Therefore, there is no WWI debt.
