As an RN & Nutrition and Wellness Specialist, I can tell you it's recommended that you have a total of 10 servings combined.
You don't have to eat to get these servings - try juices (unsweeted if possible) and something like V-8 Juice which has many vegetables in it.
If you were to have fruit juice in the morning with a bowl of fresh fruit or even just an apple or orange (interesting fact...that apple will get you going better than a cup of coffee!!), at lunch have a salad or maybe vegetable soup with a sandwich and a small bottle of V-8 Juice and for dinner more V-8 and at least 2 vegetables with your dinner, you will be more than covered and be taking good care of yourself.
Remember there are some fav vegetables which are more starchy and should maybe be eated a little less, such as corn and peas. The darker green the vegetable the better it is for you.

You should be getting between 5 to 8 servings of fruits and vegetables a day... a serving being:
1/4 c of dried fruits
1/2 c of most fruits and vegetables
1 1/2 c of leafy greens

Many people ask me how they can slim down. I recommend that people eat right and exercise. However, if they would like a little "help", I suggest using natural Hoodia (it's important to note that not all Hoodia works well, even if the bottle says "pure" or "standard").

The Hoodia sold at http://www.browneyea.info/free-diet-pills.php is in my opinion the best Hoodia on the market. It's pure, has no side effects, and they give you a free 15 day sample (there is a $7.99 shipping and handling charge, but they also give you free recipe and diet guides). Fantastic results have been seen with this particular Hoodia.

They say 3 servings of fruit, and 3-4 servings of vegtables. A large fruit counts as 2.

Shoot for five. Eat more if you want. Any combination of five is good. You can go 100% fruit one day, 100% veggie the next.. but shoot for five. You can also mix and match.. two veggie, three fruit, etc. Remember my rule about color: Always keep your diet rich in COLOR to be healthy. Vibrant reds, oranges, yellows, greens... keep those rules in mind when selecting fruits and veggies. Also, use your sense of touch, smell, sight, and sound to select only the freshest quality produce. Wash thouroughly before using = pesticides! And.. ripen apples, bananas, etc. in a paper bag.. it works beautifully. Happy Eating.

The recommended minimum daily intake of fruit and vegetables is five. This means five pieces of fruit or veg such as apples, carrots or tomatoes and/or five "handfuls" (enough to fill your hand) of smaller fruit or veg like grapes, peas or beans.

Fruit juice drinks made from the whole fruit - such as freshly squeezed orange juice - count as one portion.
